Dan Fogelberg出生於1951年8月13號
這首歌曲是為他逝去的父親所寫的，
描寫在高中擔任樂團指揮的父親如何辛苦的走出自己的路，
而後又如何支持他踏上音樂這條路，歌曲發表於1981年，
也是Dan Fogelberg事業的高峰。

Dan Fogelberg於2007年12月16日辭世.
